is a good read, actually a must read, especially for those who think government protects the individual from themselves and those evil businessmen. It's from 1980, but could not be more prevalent than today.
The first half of the books talks about our entire system: economics, business cycle, the fed, government agencies, lobbyist, regulations, etc. It covers it all and seems to break it all down pretty well.
The second half of the book essentially goes into the 'survivalist' mindset of stocking and preparing.
I have not got to the second half of the book yet, but reading just the first half alone is worth it.
Best of all, the publisher long ago released the book in PDF so it's free.
